Black Sesame Toffee Twisters by JandieMeraii Black Sesame Toffee Twisters by JandieMeraii
Yesterday I made some homemade Black sesame seed paste so that I could make some Kurogoma ice cream. But as always I made too much and had to come up with another use for it right there. Though it is delicious simply spread on toast I felt the nuttiness of the sesame might work as candy. So these black sesame toffees was the result and boy are they tasty; crunchy and not too sweet with a hint of sea salt. And the colour! Apparently they should be good for you too ;)

Thanks. I think black sesame is something people should use for desserts more ^^

I'd never heard of black sesame before. I'll definitely try to keep an eye out for it. :)

You can usually find it at well sorted supermarkets or at stores where they sell health-food-stuff ;)

Well-stocked supermarkets are hard to come by where I live. They never have what I want! I'll keep the health food shop in mind though.

Thanks! It was really just a basic toffee recipe, without any milk or cream, to which I added the sesame paste instead of most of the golden syrup. Then rolled them in sesame seeds ^^
